Foooolow

Following up, we have a sort-of explanation. Apparently, the dudes in the pictures hadn't given permission. How they could tell in an anonymous thread is... well, whatever. Maybe they're just making that up because they had second thoughts. It's like claiming rape after... uh... okay, nevermind. This anonymous person may be more representative.
Livejournal can be used for lots of things. One good purpose is a call to action, a call for instance to flood the student managers, faculty sponsors, etc. with e-mail alerting them to a serious breach of professional ethics.
Faculty sponsors of the Daily Cal? Step 0: Find out who you're criticizing and who they answer to.

How silly.

I really wish the Daily Cal had faculty sponsors and was part of a department and was answerable to adults/professionals. I honestly don't believe the Daily Cal would be considered acceptable at any of the other top 20 or even 40 US colleges.

I know, I know, they're "free student press," but I don't think that's really worth the generally shoddy journalistic standards, especially since the whole "free" thing is just a formality since they're so completely dependent on the university for office space, internet access, etc...
