The demonstration started with three students speaking with Boxer's Senior Field Representative Jennifer Tang. Although Boxer has expressed her support for the act, she did not vote on Oct. 24.

Participants spoke with neither Pelosi, Feinstein, nor any of their representatives at the time of the demonstration.
