Yay

I see that the DAAPers fought their Judicial Council case, perhaps hoping to sue and win more money.

By the way, I didn't go. Does anyone want to guess what was said? I'm guessing something along the lines of bitching about unelected Judicial Council members seeking to exercise power and subvert the democratic process.

Update: Oh, sorry about that. It seems like there was a small error in the story. Or, maybe more than one. No DAAP cases were heard.

Argh, it's probably rarer for a Daily Cal article NOT to have an inaccuracy than for it to have an inaccuracy.

The article should say, Gabriela Urena DID win a seat according to preliminary results.

Even worse: no hearings were held last night because of a scheduling conflict. Wow.

So... when she says "The council also heard two cases against the Defend Affirmative Action Party for allegedly posting fliers in undesignated areas of campus and campaign phone calls made to the residence halls." she means "The council also DID NOT hear two cases against the Defend Affirmative Action Party for allegedly posting fliers in undesignated areas of campus and campaign phone calls made to the residence halls.
