Shady Campaign Stuff 2

I guess Andy Kelley is a CalSERVE dude. He sent an e-mail to his dorm's listserv, using his position as RA. While the Elections Council can't do anything about it, doesn't the university have a policy about this kind of thing?

The 2006-07 Residential Conduct Code can be found in the "Bear Neccesities Guide to Living on Campus at UC Berkeley", page 23 of the pdf (21 for the book): http://www.housing.berkeley.edu/student/06_Bear_Necessities_Guide.pdf

Point 52 is "Deliberately wasting computer resources", a note states "This includes sending...unsolicited mail ("spam").

I see it as the only possible point violated, as other solicitation regulations only concern themselves with "door-to-door" solicitation.

There's a difference between the responsibilities of residents and the responsibilities of RAs. I would be very disappointed to learn that the university allows its employees to use their status as employees to campaign.
