Oh

So, some dude argues that Winnie Kuo, Alex Mastrodonato, and Wayne Feng are in danger of disqualification, since the campaigning within 100 ft. charge is against the entire Student Action party, and they were endorsed by the MSEA. Kuo is one of the early winners.

They are not Student Action folks, though. They are APPLE-Engineering, so I don't think it'll happen, since the charge was against the Student Action slate. This may have been an oversight (the dudes may have been campaigning for APPLE-Engineering, too), but at this point, there's nothing that can be done about it.

there are diff ways to determine what "student action slate" means.

the most important way would be a campaign test. campaign materials include their names, and what is a slate but a group of candidates who pool resources and put each other's names on flyers, etc.?

De facto they are fully part of the slate. look no further than : http://studentaction.org/.

That's not going to happen. The simple fact is the charge sheet was against "The Student Action Slate" and acceptance was sent to Student Action's signatory. The party concept is legally well-defined in the ASUC, and the fact that parties work together is nowhere near the requirement to extend this charge to them.

More importantly, APPLE and UNITE folks were never officially notified that they were being charged, so it's just not possible for them to have to answer for the charges.

Jaime Hirashi is the signatory of all three parties, so forwarding the charges to her = notifying appleeingineering and unitegreek party members.

I think there's a new requirement in the most recent edition of the JRPs that states all parties directly affected by the charges must be included in the list of defendants.

They must be listed, but not necessarily as defendants, I believe.

it says "student action party slate";

that means all 20 sa senate candidates, and all the execs. if the campaigners said "vote student action" that's all there is to it.

... there aren't 20 SA senate candidates.
