Greh

More charge sheets:

One censure for Chris Wong for covering up an ASUC-sponsored group flier.

Another censure for Ilana Nankin, Eunice Moon, Dwight Asuncion, Curits Lee, Christian Osmena, and Grace Shen, for fliers in a different classroom.

Yet another for Dwight Asuncion, Wayne Feng, Winnie Kuo for classroom fliers.

Another one for Ilana Nankin, Eunice Moon, Dwight Asuncion, Curits Lee, and Loretta Kwong for a flier within 100 feet of a polling location.

One for Nadir Shams for another classroom flier.

Two censures for the Student Action Executive Slate for two dudes campaigning within 100 feet of polls.

Three censures against Shawn Jain for classroom fliering.

This puts Student Action folks in DQ-land, which means they're actually going to have to defend themselves if all charges are accepted.

The deadline for filing charges is later today.

do you have a count of total censures so far for each candidate?

One wonders if SA will be launching more lawsuits against the ASUC...

I doubt they will actually be disqualified. Haven't read any of the charges, but I imagine the Judicial Council will lump some of the clasroom flyering together rather than issuing separate censures for each.

Also, what if SA just plain has already lost the election? You never know, this unexpected amount of votes (even though one would think higher turnout benefits SA normally) that may be tied to co-op votes, mentioned in the comments for another post, is giving me hope for an upset. I guess we will find out when the preliminary results come out (Wednesday, was it?)

there will be no upset.

calserve didn't even co-sponsor TGIF. The connection isn't there. They could have taken advantage of it, but they didn't. I doubt even the casual voters who voted mainly because of TGIF had a necessary connection to Calserve; instead they probably split their votes.

Also, TGIF didn't target co-opers (which are fairly a small group and probably still didn't turn out); they targeted MAINSTREAM campus.

calserve didn't co-sponsor TGIF because neither they (or any other party) are allowed to have an opinion on university referenda. Otherwise I imagine both they and SA would have endorsed it.

That's not correct. Political parties can absolutely have opinions on university referenda.

TGIF was sponsored by 4 Senators:
Caro Jauregui, Jane Park, Taylor Allbright and Dwight Asuncion. 2 CS, 2 SA.

There are a lot of folks in CalSERVE who are generally anti-student fee raises. I can't imagine that a CalSERVE community meeting would vote to endorse TGIF. Without community approval, CalSERVE could not officially support TGIF.
