But what about BU?

Hey, look! People!

I think what's really going to challenge Student Action's dominance is the whole "having another major party" thing, rather than a bunch of third-party losers.
Many independent candidates said they felt the events of last summer had galvanized them to run "anti-party machine" campaigns that won't involve what they call excessive flyering or chalking.
So... the events of last summer has convinced folks to run losing campaigns? Awesome.
Members of Student Action said that while they acknowledge the fact that they could be associated with the events of last summer, they hoped the majority of students would recognize that this year's senate candidates were never involved in the ASUC before they decided to run for senate.

"I think it's very unfortunate that people have that point of view," said Student Action signatory Jaime Hiraishi. "We can just show our dedication to helping students."
That's about as close to an apology as we're ever going to get from Student Action. "It wasn't us!" Though that seems sort of hard to square with their DONE campaign...
