It's time for the nth annual thASUC awards (pronounced "They suck")! Right now, I'm taking nominations for ASUC officials to win the following categories:

Biggest Idiot
Biggest Lie
Biggest Tool
Dumbest Statement
Most Cognitively Dissonant
Most Hypocritical
Most Pointless Abuse of Power
Most Selfish Abuse of Power
Most Severely Failed Campaign Promise
Most Wasteful Use of Student Money
Most Willfully Ignorant

The competition is going to be stiff this year. Make sure your favorite ASUC official is represented by nominating her now!

As crazy as it sounds, I would heartily recommend some positive reinforcement as well.

Awards for best leadership, smartest comments, most effective, etc. will hopefully encourage such actions in the future and also give some positive publicity for those people who are doing the right thing.

student governments should be offered these awards on a state or national level. It will be the nobel prize of bad governance... if it could be accompanied by video footage (perhaps reinactments?) it would rival major television programmes in hilarity.
