In more "But I wanted to" news

That NO on Prop 85 thing.
But it is still unclear whether taking official stances on state elections issues will affect the ASUC's ability to go into the residence halls and dining commons, said UC spokesperson Jennifer Ward.

"Each campus has to make their own decision," she said.
So... uh... what did our campus decide? That seems like the obvious next question.
"The ASUC is more than a bank for student groups. We are seen as the voice of the student body and we are the representatives of the student body and there are women who are under 18 who are enrolled in the university," [ASUC senator Taylor Allbright] told the senate.
There are also parents enrolled in the university. There are also people strongly opposed to this enrolled in the university. Do they just not count?

Further, the fact that this affects some students hardly makes it a "Student Issue." Tax measures, bond measures, reverse tariffs, and pretty much every proposition affect some students, simply because students are Californians, and thus affected by California laws. This does not make them "Student Issues."
