Um, no, that's not right

Becky O'Malley is now responding to letters on a letter-by-letter basis. I mentioned before her attempt to dismiss a dude's commentary as "Criticizing Israel = Anti-Semitism." She ran a letter by the dude explaining that the headline was wrong, but she made no acknowledgement of that, and we might have thought it was an issue of interpretation. Only now, weeks later, does she finally write:
The headline over Mr. Glickman's commentary was a mistake—it was intended for another letter which came in at the same time. We ran his letter pointing out the error.
But you didn't recognize that he was correct. You ran it as a letter, as if it was an alternative opinion, and it wasn't a clear-cut correction as a factual correction might be. The fact that it was a mistake was not explained. How pathetic.
