Remember that Cindy Sheehan lady? You know, the one who craps on her son at every opportunity? Apparently her wild exaggerations are contagious:

Two days earlier, she had been the featured speaker at one of the largest anti-war protests since the Iraq invasion began in 2001.

Ah, yes, the 2001 Iraq invasion. I remember that one. I hear we missed, though, and landed in Afghanistan.

Sheehan, who recently moved to Berkeley, said her son did not want to go to Iraq, but chose to fight because of his sense of obligation to his country and friends.

Actually, that means he did want to go to Iraq.

Disagree with cindy's politics if you want. I'm not a fan of her opposition to the invasion of Afgahnistan myself. But please don't accuse her of crapping on her dead son just becuase she disagrees with you or becuase she mis-spoke.

Do you ever poke fun at people for legitimate reasons? Or do you always wait for a spelling error or something like that?

She craps on her dead son because she treats him like a child and denies his independence. She dismisses his actions as not his own, but as a result of being duped. She essentially destroys his identity, removes everything that makes him a man.

It doesn't have to do with her misspeaking. In fact, she speaks all too clearly. I don't repeat it everytime I mention her because I figure it's absolutely fucking obvious to folks not blinded by their desire to have some "crying mother" help them 'win,' whatever the hell they're winning.
