Check out our success!!
Linda Hunter has the perfect name for an Endangered Species Act lover.
[Representative Richard Pombo], a Republican from Tracy, claims that there is no proof that the ESA has worked, but a recent study by conservation biologists reported that just 22 of the 1,370 species listed since 1964 have gone extinct. That's a 98.4 percent success rate! Pombo's legislation would put an end to that astonishing record of success.
Isn't it amazing how activists seem to be completely ignorant of the concept of experimental control? No, no it's not.
How quickly do species go extinct? Is 1.6% extinction good for a mere 40 years? Well, these are 'endangered,' so I guess their chance of going extinct is higher than normal, but seriously, dudes, this data is useless without something to compare it to.
