A little corner of Earth The Police Log of the Daily Cal is always a fun place to find interesting tidbits. The vocabulary of police reporting leaves certain ambiguities which sound quite humorous to laymen like us. For example, in today's police log: "Provided security while a Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory employee was terminated." Hm... so that's how they keep their secrets from getting out. "Female reports male missing from somewhere in Berkeley since June 1996." ? "Excuse me, police? Some guy has been missing from this place somewhere in Berkeley for the past 7 years.
