You get to pretend like you're accomplishing something (which you're not). 2. You get to earn the esteem of your colleagues, entirely contingent on you continuing to agree with everything they say. 3. You get to piss people off so that they hate you completely without even knowing who you are. 4. You get to spend your spare time thinking and reading about irrelevant things. 5.
