Oh, right
National politics. It looks like Democrats are heading towards victory in the elections this year, riding the wave of Foleygate, or whatever it's called now. I kind of wish the Democrats were sweeping into power riding a wave of "we have better ideas about how to run the country," but I guess "eww!" is what we're going to have to deal with.
Anyway, there's still plenty of time for things to happen, or for folks to screw up, so we'll see, though the media is usually pretty willing to cover for Democratic screw-ups. The thing is, in the absence of an actual governing difference that I give a crap about (and government officials not having sex with people who aren't children is not something I really care about), I'd rather have the folks the media hate in power.
