Hum
If you thought fiscal policy was boring, Prop 80 will put you into the ground by talking about energy policy. I actually did read it, and here's what it says:
"You know all those things the Public Utilities Commission is doing? Yeah, we're making them law now."
So, essentially, it's going to restrict flexibility. But here are all the magical things it's supposed to do:
Make energy production cleaner.
Make energy cheaper.
Make energy reliable.
My beetle sense tells me that something has to give. So I'll be voting NO.
In summary, it looks like I'm voting YES on all of Arnie's measures (74-77), and NO on the rest. I swear I wasn't planning it that way, but now I look like a tool. Oh, well. There's still time to sell my vote.
