Critical criticism

On Salman Rushdie:

Rushdie's 1988 book "The Satanic Verses" was banned in more than 11 countries and burned openly by western Muslims. Rushdie came out of hiding in 1998, despite Iranian spiritual leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei's call for his death. Much of the criticism of Rushdie stemmed from his assertion that Islam creates an environment conducive to alienation, making the possibility of terrorism more likely.

It's good to see that having your death called for is "criticism."

The Drayage standoff apparently was between the owner of the building and the tenants. Somehow, the city has managed to avoid being part of this standoff, despite precipitating, perpetuating, and participating in it. Anyway, the owner is giving them "undisclosed reimbursement."

Meanwhile, in another building, the Dragaye, a similar situation took place, but the reimbursement was $10,000 and unpaid rent. Still, I'm sure the amount was undisclosed for the Drayage.
